March

Date night. A must. It keeps me sane. We went to dinner at Diego Zhang's and then we went to the driving range. I love hanging out with my husband, he's way cooler than me and I am glad he likes me.

My friend Emily had a birthday. I decided to have a little surprise birthday for her and invited some girls over for lunch. It was a great time! And I found out it was the first time she'd ever had someone throw a party for her! Insane! I'm glad she shared her day with us. I love ya Em!

Here he is again... I can't tell you how many times a week I have to clean this cabinet and the bookshelf... my little stinker!
Wesley's best friend growing up, Bryant has just moved to Wyoming with his family. They've come a couple of times to visit. This last time, Tiffany came to visit with the kids during spring break. Jake loves it when they come! I love it too, Tiffany is so much fun!

Wesley and Jake enjoying the sunshine. I wish I could have been with them outside but I had a talk to prepare for at church.

Seriously, Cooper thought he was SO cool to be in Jake's chair. He always dangles his feet to show it
He jumps off of Everything!

David and Coop
We bought a desk and put it in the corner of our family room and converted my built in desk thing into an art studio for Jake. I need to get a better picture of it, but Jake loves his space. Right there he is coloring his calendar.
Just eatin'
And this is why I always keep the bathroom door closed. Cooper makes such big messes!
I guess this has been a year of a lot of firsts for me. I hadn't ever made a gingerbread house and I really don't remember actually ever flying a kite. My dad gave Wesley an awesome kite a few years ago and we finally pulled it out a couple of weeks ago. It is my height, 5'2". It tends to get pretty windy where we live and this was the BEST day to fly a kite. Jake even flew it and loved when it would crash.
We love to take walks. And I love when it's nap time and the boys fall asleep on the way home.

February

Trip to California
I have stopped insisting on going places when Wesley travels. Jake costs money to travel so taking a trip isn't as easy anymore. BUT, Wesley had to travel 2 weeks in a row. The second week was to San Jose, California and he invited myself and the kids to come along. It was great because Felecia had just had her baby a couple of weeks before and I went to visit. My parents were also there and Amanda came down from Auburn. Lea decided to make trip for the week as well since we were all together. It was so much fun!
The cute little lady, Natalie

All together
I miss California weather. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love having seasons, but when you visit the bay area in February and don't have ato we

Jake is my favorite kind of traveler now. He does amazing! He's the perfect age to fly with. He was so fun on the plane.

Our flight going home was pretty empty. I mean, we had the entire back of the plane to ourselves... so nice! When we boarded a flight attendant invited Jake to go with her to the cockpit to meet the pilot. He loved it! It was by far, the best flight I've been on. I loved the flight attendants!
Valentine's Day
I thought I had a picture, but I guess not. We went to La Fondue and then walked down 16th Street Mall. It was a great evening. I highly recommend doing fondue. We tend to be business eaters, eat quickly and go. But with fondue, you have to take your time. We sat for almost 3 hours eating our appetizer, dinner and dessert. I loved it. And then we both bought new work out shoes at the Nike store half off. I love sales!

February Stuff
Tell me Cooper isn't adorable!

We got tickets to see the Nuggets play the Phoenix Suns. We got a sitter and have a wonderful evening there. I have to say, I pretty much hate sports. I love going to games and can get into it, but on t.v. at home, yeah, nah, I'll pass! For some reason, I have enjoyed watching Steve Nash play. I found myself excited when he came onto the court.

Jake learned in Nursery about the frowny/happy smile song. He came home and sang it to us. Here's the frowny face:
And the happy face!

Superbowl Sunday at Clint and Kara's. It was sooo good! Potato skins, french dip, it was all so good!

They can't get enough of the ball pit
Any time Jake sees Wes get out his tools, Jake runs for his backpack to assist. I needed more nails put up to hang my necklaces and Jake insisted on helpingHe's too cute I think
Why are hampers so much fun?
I make bets with Wesley all the time. The things we usually bet are back rubs, hand rubs, feet rubs. I usually lose and never pay up. This one particular day I owed him a foot rub and boy did I deliver! I gave him chocolates and sparkling cider
We trade off every Sunday eating with Clint and Kara. While at their house one Sunday, I went looking for Jake and found he and Maddie with toys and blankets in the tub... these 2 are quite the pair!

Playing at Little Monkey Bizness. It's a fun jump place with inflatable slides, jungle gyms, etc.

December

December is always a busy month. Christmas, Wesley's birthday and our anniversary! Busy, busy. But always fun! Wesley always gets 2 weeks off at Christmas as well so it makes for a nice Christmas break. This year we spent Christmas with Wesley's family and New Years with mine. Since my parents moved to Utah a couple of years ago, it's been nice, especially at Christmas to split the time. We spent about 5 days with each family and had so much fun, nothin's better than spending time with family.

Happy Birthday Wesley
Wesley likes things simple. He doesn't like to make a big deal of birthdays. Yes, we are VERY different that way. For his birthday, all he wanted was a set of ski gloves. He had had the same pair for 20 years! Crazy! He went skiing one Saturday and got his new set of gloves. He was happy! On his birthday, I made his favorite: Sweet and Sour chicken wings with fried rice.... yeah, it tastes as good as it sounds! And he asked for German chocolate cake. I also had him go get a massage the night of his birthday. It was a quiet but fun birthday!

Does anyone else have children that do this? Cooper will not let the books on the shelves stay put!
I turned on a movie for Jake in the play room, walked in a bit later and found the two of them sitting on the floor with the blankets next to each other, too cuteJake does such funny things. I walked in the kitchen and he had opened every.single.drawer and cabinet
My mom got Jake this blazer and tie. He's too handsome!

My sweet Cooper
This is where we keep diapers, wipes, socks and some shoes.
Christmas Prep
To be honest, I don't ever recall doing a gingerbread house before. It was fun to do with Jake. Although, putting it together was a hoot. The roof wouldn't stay together, completely slid off... too funny.

Adult Night Out
We usually are all together with the kids. There are over 20 grandchildren on my side so adult time doesn't really exist. We decided to take a night without kids and we went to Carinos. We had so much fun! I am going to requ
