Thanksgiving San Diego

We decided to take a family trip to Sea World San Diego this year for Thanksgiving. It was so nice to have this time together as a family - we realized that we've never taken a family trip anywhere by ourselves. So this was very different but good for our little family. We went to Sea World, San Diego Zoo and the Wildlife Animal Park. And of course what is San Diego if you don't go to the beach - so most days consisted of at least a little beach time, too cold for swimming in the ocean, but fun to play on the beach. We were also able to stop by the San Diego temple on Sunday after church and it is just one of the most gorgeous buildings you'll ever see! See below:
I was hoping to make this our Christmas card picture, but as you can see, someone isn't looking at the camera!
Here are a few beach pictures I took of Jake and Wesley - Wes rolled up Jake's pants so they could splash in the water and Jake just loved it! One big thing that I'll forever miss about California is the ocean - poor Jake will never experience much of that! All of our dates are out of order in the following posts, but you'll still be able to see what's what. It was a great trip!

I like the beach photos as the sun goes down. It looks like you had a great vacation- even without extended family.

So many fun new posts! No wonder you were a bit sick of blogging this afternoon!

It looks like such a wonderful trip. San Diego is so beautiful. Jake is darling. It looks like the weather wasn't too bad. Glad you had such a great trip.

How fun! You were only an hour away from us! We used to have season passes to the zoo/animal park because Lily loves it so much, such great places for kids that age. Glad you guys had fun!!

Wow! you guys look like you had a great time together. I think the San Diego Temple is beautiful. I remember when we went all together to visit that Temple before it was dedicated and I also have pictures of the Monte/Vick family on our visit to the Zoo. That was a long time ago.
Have fun with your parents for Christmas.

I've been catching up--so much I've missed--and I'm still laughing at Cookie Monster with his hands all over you...I thought he was only into cookies...I had a similar experience with the "mascot" at Red Robin once--inappropriate dancing and all...
You are an adorable pregnant mommy. My fav is the shot with you and your sleeping boy--who is so big, by the way! Wow. I'm jealous of your family trip. I don't think we have even done that yet. We are always visiting family, since my hubby never gets time off. Looks so fun!

Hey I was just reading your comment. I'm sure you left it a while ago, sorry. I don't mind, I do that all the time to old friends. I'll tell Jesse you said Hi. I'm sure he'll want to see how you're doing. I might have heard of you, friends with Tommy? If so, I heard all good things. You have a darling family. Take care.

Thank you for your comment--I have hope now that it won't be a new forever trait! Did blowing in his face really work?
