For my birthday we decided it would be fun to throw an 80's Party! Gosh, it was a blast! We had karaoke, an 'arcade room' set up with bean bags, PAC MAN and FROGGER, good food, Crush soda in the cool bottles, a great 80's trivia game and contests. We all had a like totally wicked awesome time!
Here's my rock star of a husband and I. I sported some hot pink stirrup pants but nothing took the cake like my husband's get up. He grew out a beard for a few weeks and then shaved this fabulous 'stache to go with his rockin' mullet wig. He had an oversized 'I Love Video Games' t-shirt with the most awesome spandex shorts. Man, he was awesome!
And here are some of our guests, note the prom dress and the hot pink jump suit... bravo ladies, bravo! Everyone did an awesome job and looking the part.

I love to let others be creative for me and then I just copy what they do. I found a blog that made this cute gumball looking machine out of a planters pot, I thought that was super cheap and cute so I made one. It was one of the easiest and quickest crafts I've ever made. Love it.

We went to our friend's house to carve pumpkins. The kids painted theirs and the adults carved.
Our pumpkins. This October was on the warmer side. We had our pumpkins on the porch for a few days and they started to wilt and get all deformed.

AMANDA VISIT My sister Amanda flew in with her two boys for a week over my birthday. I love visitors and I hadn't see her in a long time so it was a treat! Isn't she pretty?

We did lots of fun stuff when my sister was here. I get with a group and we rotate doing storytime at each of our houses each week. This week it happened to be my turn which was convenient.
Cooper and I have been in this dance class at the rec center while Jake's been in preschool. It's a cute class where they play fun songs and the kids have to jump, hop, clap, bang an instrument, etc and the parents do it with them. I took Cooper and my nephew Simon one day. Simon loved the class. Ella and Kara were in the class with us as well, which Cooper LOVES. And we love the teacher, Miss Jayla (below)

I can't get enough of this little guy, Eli. I hadn't seen him yet and he is just the sweetest baby. He's so happy and has the cutest smile.
We went to the mall that has an indoor play place. It was a MAD HOUSE. I'm not kidding, I've never seen so many people at one place before, it was more than difficult to track where your child was, I hated it!
We also got to ride the horse at the grocery store, not just any horse, he costs 1 penny, which is my favorite. And we ate Jimmy Johns, oh how we love Jimmy Johns.
Amanda had just recently learned how to make fondant and assured me it was super easy so I had a go at it. I thought it turned out alright for my first time.
I love to do hair, and my favorite hair to work on is my sister, Amanda's. She has long and very thick hair. It's not too fine and usually lets me tell it what to do, it's great. So every time I see her, she lets me play with it and try stuff out. This is what I came up with one night, we thought it was kinda cute.

Wesley's parents came in for a visit over Halloween which was a fun treat. We went to a corn maze at Anderson Farms one day. It had all sorts of cute "rides" and such.

For Christmas last year, I got Wesley a play airplane that he can fly. He'd had one previously, one that would take off with you holding, but was just a tad too small. I thought I'd get him one a little bigger. Much to Wesley's surprise (and mine) this new one was BIG! The wing span was almost as tall as me. It's the kind that needs a runway to take off. We tried it out when Wesley's parents came to visit.

Our ward had a carnival, with lots of fun activities. One of our favorites was Whack-a-boy. The 12-13 year old boys recreated whack-a-mole and you got to whack them with inflatable hammers. What kid wouldn't love the chance to whack someone?
