Trip to California

We got back a week or so ago from California where my sisters and I threw a baby shower for my other sister, Amanda, whom is expecting her first baby in June. Wesley was able to make a business trip out of it, he had to be there anyway for part of the week so he extended his stay. We decided to just stay through Mother's Day so we were there for a week and a half and it was great to be there for that time. Lea and her kids came from St. Louis and Sam made it for the weekend and that was great! Aside from the baby shower which is posted below, we went to the park one night. Here's our little family at the park: Felecia and Logan on the way to the park:

Jacob can't get enough of the slide. Wesley pushes him up and lets go and Jake just slides down and gets the biggest kick out of that, as you can see below:

Jake and Daddy on the swings Lea and Taylor on the swings, isn't Taylor just the cutest?

Us girls after church

Mason and Abby hugging, they are so sweetWe went to Claim Jumper for dinner one night. Can you believe that this is just 1/2 of the Vick family? This is only the girls, none of the Vick boys were there.
Mom Vick always has delicious desserts. Logan loves food. Here he is with strawberry shortcake - a loaded one at that, and this is his second helping!

Wesley and I love San Francisco. There are lots of fun memories there, and it's just so fun to be in the city. Denver isn't quite the same when it comes to going downtown, so we try to make a trip when we go to San Francisco to visit my family. Now that my parents are moving soon, we probably won't make it hardly at all, how sad! So, we've never walked across Golden Gate Bridge, I've lived in California for over 15 years and never done it. We went to San Francisco, ate lunch at Lori's 50's diner, then walked across the bridge, which was so much fun, I can't believe I've never done it. Then we drove over to Sausalito and browsed the shops there. It was a great day.
I just think this is the sweetest picture. My friend Becki was able to come for a visit while I was at my mom's house and brought her daughter that I've not seen for over a year now. She's (Maya) 18 months old and such a sweet, cute girl. I had to post this picture of the two of them.

My dad grew up in the bay area, and I love San Francisco too. We don't get to go there nearly enough. So sad that your parents are moving away.

I love the picture and your mom and your sisters, with all the black, red and white. And the swing picture is great too. Ah, to have sisters. That would be nice.

I'm glad you posted! I have been checking it and wondering where you were and what you've been doing. I love the Golden Gate Bridge picture. You guys are so cute, and it sounds like so much fun to walk across it - I didn't even know you could do that! I want to go to SF someday, and I will try to walk the bridge just for you!

I'm a bit of a stalker. I found you guys on Kimberly's page. Your little boy is just darling! He has such a sweet, little face. Anyway, I'm glad you are well! :)

How fun to see all of those beautiful Vick girls! I love the shower pics too, by the way--looks like a professional did all the decorating! Congrats to Amanda. (I'm also jealous she already has a name picked!)
